El Salvador President Dances with Tesla as Bitcoin Meets AI

Today, we're diving into a meeting that's got more buzz than a caffeinated bee – El Salvador's President Nayib Bukele's rendezvous with the Technoking himself, Elon Musk!

Bukele struts into Tesla's gigafactory in Austin, Texas, probably feeling like he's stepped into the future. Elon, being the gracious host he is, gives him the grand tour.

Now, you might be wondering, "What's cooking between these two powerhouses?" Well, it seems they were brewing up a storm of ideas about AI, Bitcoin, and how El Salvador could become the next Silicon Valley of Central America (minus the ridiculous rent prices, hopefully).

Musk, called Bukele an "amazing leader." I mean, who wouldn't be amazed by a president who shows up with home-grown coffee as a gift? Elon, in a move that screamed "I forgot to go grocery shopping," offered a can of Coca-Cola in return. Talk about a fizzy exchange! 😝

El Salvador, having already taken the plunge into Bitcoin as legal tender, is now eyeing AI. They're not just dipping their toes in the water; they're doing a cannonball into the deep end of the tech pool.

And get this – ARK Invest's Cathie Wood is predicting El Salvador's GDP could skyrocket tenfold by 2029. That's like your savings account growing faster than a teenager in a growth spurt!

Wood's even calling El Salvador a potential "oasis for the Bitcoin and AI communities." I don't know about you, but I'm picturing a tropical paradise where instead of coconuts, the trees are laden with GPUs and cold wallets.

Crypto Lender turns Tables on Hacker in 5 Million Dollar Heist through Negotiation with Attacker

Shezmu, a crypto lender that just pulled off a negotiation so smooth, it'd make a used car salesman weep with envy. Picture this: Shezmu's digital vault gets cracked and nearly $5 million in crypto goes poof!

Instead of crying over spilled Bitcoin, Shezmu decided to slide into the hacker's DMs (okay, it was actually an on-chain message, but let me have my fun). They were all like, "Hey there! How about you give us back 90% of those coins, and we'll call it a day? No cops, no robbers, just a friendly neighborhood crypto exchange!"

Now, most hackers would probably laugh and buy themselves a private island. But this one? They came back with a counter-offer, "Make it 80/20, and you've got a deal," they said (I'm paraphrasing, but you get the gist). Shezmu, agreed to the deal. And lo and behold, the ETH started flowing back like a digital Niagara Falls!

While Shezmu's celebrating their Houdini-like escape from financial disaster, another crypto exchange, WazirX from India, is still scratching its head over its own $235 million oopsie. It's been two months, and they're still pointing fingers like it's a game of crypto hot potato.

WazirX is blaming its custodian, Liminal, who's saying "Wasn't me!" faster than Shaggy in that song we all pretend not to know. Meanwhile, Liminal's waving an audit report around like it's a "Get Out of Jail Free" card.

CoinSwitch, another exchange, threatening to sue WazirX for its share of the missing millions. It's like watching a blockchain version of "Survivor," minus the tropical island and plus a whole lot of digital drama.

The hacker demanded and received a 20% bounty for returning the funds
WazirX is still struggling to recover $235 million in stolen funds after 60 days, facing potential lawsuits

Indian Supreme Court's YouTube Channel Gets a Crypto Makeover (Temporarily)

Imagine this: You're scrolling through YouTube, looking for riveting footage of Indian legal proceedings (no judgment here, we all have our hobbies), when suddenly, BAM! Instead of stern-faced judges, you're greeted by the charming visage of Ripple Labs CEO Brad Garlinghouse, promising you riches beyond your wildest dreams. No, you haven't stumbled into an alternate universe where crypto bros rule the courts. You've just witnessed the Great Indian Supreme Court YouTube Heist of 2024!

That's right, folks. On September 20th, some cheeky crypto scammers decided to give the Indian Supreme Court's YouTube channel a makeover that would make any influencer jealous, turning the esteemed legal channel into a veritable XRP infomercial.

These digital desperados didn't just stop at a rebrand. Oh no, they went full Marie Kondo on the channel, decluttering it of all those pesky legal videos that clearly weren't sparking joy.

Thankfully, YouTube's content moderation team sprung into action taking down the compromised account quicker than a judge's gavel fall. The Indian Supreme Court, not to be outdone in the rapid response department, issued a public notice that essentially said, "Houston, we have a problem" (but in more legalistic terms, of course).

Now, here's where things get as twisty as a legal brief. The Supreme Court managed to wrestle back control of their channel, but like a bad court ruling, the damage was already done. Their subscriber count? Vanished like a defendant's alibi. Their video uploads? Gone like a lawyer's free time during a big case.

To add insult to injury, the channel came back with a new name – 'Vansh'. I'm not saying the hackers have a future in branding, but... actually, no, I'm definitely not saying that.

But fear not, justice seekers! The cached information on Google Search still recognizes the channel as belonging to the Supreme Court of India.
