🟧 Elon Musk reportedly abandons his "America Party" plans and pivots to supporting VP JD Vance for 2028, after his political party idea caused Tesla stock to tank and GOP panic.

🟧 WazirX users overwhelmingly approve a revised restructuring plan with 95% support after the first attempt was rejected by Singapore's High Court, potentially bringing $234M hack victims closer to recovery.

🟧 Meta launches AI-powered voice translation feature globally for creators on Facebook and Instagram, starting with English-Spanish translations and authentic voice cloning technology.

Tether Goes Full American Dream Mode by Hiring Trump's Ex Crypto Guy

The stablecoin giant just snatched up Bo Hines, fresh from his White House crypto gig, to be their new strategic adviser for all things American.

Tether's not-so-subtle intention to crash the US party with their own domestically-backed stablecoin.

Paolo Ardoino, Tether's CEO, is clearly betting big on American soil, stating that Hines' appointment demonstrates their commitment to building a "strong U.S.-based presence" spanning multiple sectors.

Hines literally stepped down from his White House role less than two weeks ago, making this transition smoother than a buttered slip-n-slide. During his government stint, he worked on fostering digital asset innovation and setting guardrails for stablecoin issuers, which now makes him the perfect inside man for Tether's US ambitions.

Tether has already reinvested almost $5 billion in the US economy through Tether Investments, including that $775 million strategic investment with video platform Rumble back in December.

Musk's Political Party Dreams Go Poof as He Pivots to Team Vance 2028

Our favorite space-obsessed billionaire Elon Musk has reportedly pumped the brakes on his grand "America Party" plans. According to The Wall Street Journal, the world's richest man has quietly shifted gears and is now eyeing VP JD Vance as his political golden boy for 2028.

Remember when Musk was all fired up about creating his own political party back in July? Well, turns out reality hit harder than a Cybertruck window demo. Tesla shareholders were NOT having it - the stock nosedived more than 20% when he started polling X users about this brilliant idea.

When Musk had his legendary feud with Trump over that massive spending bill. Musk saw it as completely undermining his Department of Government Efficiency work, which was supposed to slash government spending. Trump wasn't having any of Musk's party plans and said he'd gone "off the rails."

Now, Musk is reportedly playing it smart by backing Vance instead of potentially splitting the Republican vote and making enemies. According to sources, he's been chatting with Vance recently and is even considering financial backing for a 2028 presidential run. Polymarket users seem to agree - they're giving Vance 53% odds for the Republican nomination and 28% for the presidency.

The GOP is probably breathing easier now that Musk isn't threatening to target their seats in the 2026 midterms. Though insiders haven't completely ruled out the America Party resurrection as those elections approach!

WazirX Users Say Yes Please to Getting Their Money Back Again

WazirX users just overwhelmingly approved a restructuring plan for the second time - and by "overwhelmingly," we mean a whopping 95% of voting creditors said "heck yes" to potentially getting their funds back from that devastating $234 million hack back in July 2024.

North Korean hacker gang that decided to raid WazirX's Safe Multisig wallet like it was their personal piggy bank? Well, more than a year later, users are still fighting to get their crypto back, and this latest vote represents their best shot at seeing some of those digital dollars again.

This isn't WazirX's first rodeo with restructuring plans. They tried this dance back in April, got user approval, but then the Singapore High Court played party pooper and rejected it over concerns about those fancy "recovery tokens" and regulatory framework issues.

Almost 150,000 creditors cast their votes between July 30 and August 6, representing over $206 million of the lost funds. Zanmai India (under India's Financial Intelligence Unit jurisdiction) will handle the compensation distribution instead of the Singapore-based operations.

WazirX founder Nischal Shetty is painting a rosier picture than before, claiming users could see funds within 10 days if the Singapore High Court approves this plan. That's a massive improvement from the previous estimate of 2-3 months that restructuring firm Kroll was throwing around.

Some users are still frustrated as heck. They're dealing with delays, regulatory drama, and the painful reality that their unhacked coins have mooned since the breach while they've been stuck in limbo. WazirX has warned that without this plan, liquidation could drag things out until 2030.

Meta's AI Just Became Your Personal Polyglot Assistant

The social media giant has officially rolled out AI-powered voice translation to creators globally on Facebook and Instagram.

We're talking about full voice cloning magic that uses the creator's own sound and tone to make dubbed content sound authentically them. Plus, there's an optional lip-sync feature that aligns translations with mouth movements, making it look like creators are actually speaking the translated language.

The feature is rolling out to Facebook creators with 1,000+ followers and all public Instagram accounts globally (where Meta AI is available). Right now, it's a bilingual party supporting English-to-Spanish translations and vice versa, but Meta promises more languages are coming.

Instagram head Adam Mosseri explained the vision perfectly helping creators "reach across cultural and linguistic barriers" to grow their following. Meta wants to help creators cash in on global audiences they never knew they had!

Creators need to face forward, speak clearly, avoid covering their mouths, and keep background noise minimal. It only supports up to two speakers who shouldn't talk over each other.

What's particularly smart is the new Insights metric showing views by language, so creators can actually track how their translated content is performing. Facebook creators even get to upload up to 20 custom dubbed audio tracks per reel through Meta Business Suite.

This launch comes as reports suggest Meta is restructuring its AI group to focus on four key areas: research, superintelligence, products, and infrastructure. Looks like voice translation just became their poster child for practical AI implementation!
