Learn from this investor’s $100m mistake

In 2010, a Grammy-winning artist passed on investing $200K in an emerging real estate disruptor. That stake could be worth $100+ million today.

One year later, another real estate disruptor, Zillow, went public. This time, everyday investors had regrets, missing pre-IPO gains.

Now, a new real estate innovator, Pacaso – founded by a former Zillow exec – is disrupting a $1.3T market. And unlike the others, you can invest in Pacaso as a private company.

Pacaso’s co-ownership model has generated $1B+ in luxury home sales and service fees, earned $110M+ in gross profits to date, and received backing from the same VCs behind Uber, Venmo, and eBay. They even reserved the Nasdaq ticker PCSO.

Trump Launches Banking Investigation to Save Crypto from Debanking Drama

According to The Wall Street Journal, Trump is reportedly planning to sign an executive order this week that would direct banking regulators to investigate whether financial institutions have been playing favorites with their client list. And by "playing favorites," I mean allegedly giving crypto companies and conservatives the cold shoulder.

The draft executive order would task bank regulators with probing whether any financial institutions violated antitrust, consumer protection, or fair lending laws. Think of it as a financial audit with teeth - institutions found guilty could face fines or other legal consequences that would make their quarterly reports look like a horror story.

Crypto executives have been crying foul for years, claiming the Biden administration orchestrated what they dubbed "Operation Choke Point 2.0" - a catchy name that crypto VC Nic Carter coined in February 2023. The industry alleges that regulators pressured banks into ditching crypto clients after the FTX collapse revealed the exchange was basically a financial house of cards built by someone who probably shouldn't have been trusted with a piggy bank, let alone billions in customer funds.

Coinbase's chief legal officer Paul Grewal testified that the FDIC "bludgeoned the banks" with examinations until they caved under pressure. A Freedom of Information Act lawsuit even revealed that the FDIC asked certain banks to pause crypto banking activities - which, according to Grewal, proved this wasn't just "some crypto conspiracy theory."

The order also targets alleged political debanking of conservatives, with the draft criticizing financial institutions that reportedly helped federal investigators probe the January 6, 2021 Capitol riots. The banking industry calls this practice "derisking."

Nvidia Releases Emergency Security Update for Critical AI Server Vulnerabilities

Nvidia just dropped a security patch, and this one's got "critical vulnerability" written all over it!

The company released an emergency software update on Saturday to fix some seriously gnarly security holes in its Triton server - that's the open-source inference software that helps optimize AI models. Think of Triton as the backstage crew for AI performances, making sure everything runs smoothly. Except in this case, the backstage had some major security gaps that could let uninvited guests crash the party!

Cybersecurity company Wiz discovered what they're calling a "chain of vulnerabilities" that could give attackers the keys to the AI kingdom. According to Wiz's head of vulnerability research Nir Ohfeld, an attacker could start with "a minor bug that causes the server to leak a small piece of secret internal data" and then use that tiny crack to completely take over the entire system.

Hackers could potentially take full control of AI servers, steal data, and manipulate responses - basically turning your helpful AI assistant into a digital double agent. The vulnerabilities were assigned the very official-sounding identifiers CVE-2025-23319, CVE-2025-23320, and CVE-2025-23334.

Big-name companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Oracle, Siemens, and American Express are believed to be using Triton. With over 25,000 companies reportedly using Nvidia's AI stack as of 2021, this patch affects more systems than a Windows update on a corporate Monday morning!

Ohfeld says there's no evidence these vulnerabilities have been exploited in the wild yet. The solution is refreshingly simple: update to Triton version 25.07 or newer and call it a day!

Major companies like Microsoft and Amazon are believed to use the affected software
No evidence of exploitation yet, but updating to version 25.07+ fixes the entire vulnerability chain

Solana Mobile Begins Shipping Seeker Phones to Over 50 Countries Worldwide

Solana Mobile just started shipping its shiny new Seeker phone to over 50 countries, and honestly, it's giving me major "what if your phone was actually crypto-native" energy!

The second-generation device has already racked up over 150,000 pre-orders - which is roughly 7.5 times more successful than its predecessor, the Saga, which sold a humble 20,000 units. The Seeker is priced at $450-$500 and is projected to generate at least $67.5 million in gross revenue for Solana Mobile. Not too shabby for a company that's essentially saying "your regular smartphone, but make it Web3!"

General manager Emmett Hollyer told us that while the Seeker boasts hardware improvements across the board, what really makes it special are its onchain features. Something called the Seed Vault - and no, it's not where you store your gardening supplies! This bad boy provides hardware-level security that keeps your private keys and seed phrases completely separated from the application layer while still letting you interact with apps.

The Seeker features a decentralized application store that completely bypasses what Solana calls "cryptophobic censorship" from traditional app stores. Because apparently, Google and Apple aren't huge fans of crypto apps.

This three-layer architecture is designed to decentralize everything from device access to app distribution, creating what's essentially a decentralized mobile platform. Think of it as the anti-iPhone - instead of one company controlling everything, it's powered by cryptographic attestation that can prove the device is running legitimate software.

Apple recently softened its app-store rules following court battles with Epic Games, allowing crypto developers to link to external payment systems without paying those hefty commissions.

Amazon Clarifies Wondery Restructuring After Shutdown Reports Spark Confusion

Bloomberg dropped a bombshell on Monday claiming that Amazon was shutting down Wondery and cutting 110 jobs. But Amazon came in hot with a "not so fast!" response that would make any podcast host proud of their dramatic timing!

Amazon told TechCrunch that Wondery isn't actually dying - it's just getting a corporate makeover! The company is reportedly keeping the Wondery brand alive for creator-led podcasts under a shiny new team structure. Think of it as less "goodbye forever" and more "see you after this commercial break!"

Amazon is splitting up the teams like a podcast divorce. The narrative podcast studio (you know, the folks behind hits like "Dr. Death" and "American Scandal") is getting combined with Audible, while creator-led shows will continue under the Wondery banner.

Amazon's statement was giving major "we're not pivoting, we're evolving" energy, explaining that "the podcast landscape has evolved significantly" with the rise of video-forward, creator-led content.

The tech giant is reportedly trying to better compete with rivals like Spotify and YouTube as the podcasting industry embraces video formats. Because apparently, just listening to people talk isn't enough anymore - we need to see their facial expressions while they discuss true crime stories or debate.

The whole restructuring is supposedly designed to help creators monetize across multiple channels, expand their brand IP, and make things easier for advertisers. It's giving me major "we want to be the Netflix of podcasts but also the YouTube of audio but also the Spotify of everything" vibes!
